The BS6 Hero Glamour got a subtle aesthetic makeover. The front fascia now gets an updated headlight with DRLs on either side. The front cowl gets a new plastic panel with a 3D “Hero” logo. The fuel tank extensions and the side-panels have also received mild styling. The taillight now features an “H” shape. Overall styling looks so much better than the outgoing model.
The instrument cluster retains the semi-digital layout that comprises of an analogue speedometer while the digital display shows the fuel level, odometer, trip meter, fuel economy and service due indicator. Glamour’s switchgear looks dated when compared to the modern buttons its rivals offer.
The five-speed 124.7cc BS6 engine of Hero Glamour makes 10.7bhp of power and 10.6Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle comes up with an Idle Stop-Start system that is aimed to improve the fuel efficiency.
The motorcycle is built around a diamond frame, with telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the back. The braking power comes from 130mm drum brakes on both 18-inch alloy wheels while a 240mm disc brake is available as an option. The safety net includes CBS tech that Hero MotoCorp calls Integrated Braking System.
The Glamour competes with the Honda SP 125 and the Bajaj Pulsar 125. It is ] available in multiple colour options but looks the best in the Blaze edition. This model gets a fancier green dual-tone paint scheme that makes it stand out in the segment.
Hero MotoCorp updated the Glamour range with the introduction of the XTec model. This new variant of the 125cc motorcycle series benefits from new features over the standard model. These include an LED headlight, a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation system, a side-stand engine cut-off function, and a USB charger. The new Glamour XTec also features a bank angle sensor that turns off the engine in an event of a fall. Cosmetic upgrades include a new matte black paint with silver accents, 3D branding, and silver rim tapes.

The Honda Shine is meant to be a workhorse and has consistently been the second highest-selling motorcycle in India. What has worked in its favour for years now is the engine refinement, fuel efficiency, comfort, and Honda’s bullet-proof reliability. Even the no-nonsense yet elegant design is liked by the majority.
Powering the motorcycle is a smooth 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 10.59bhp at 7,500rpm and 11Nm at 5,500rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The CB Shine gets conventional telescopic front forks and dual rear springs along with 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends. It can be had either with a drum brake at both ends or with a front disc, and a combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard equipment on both variants.
The bodywork comprises a bold headlamp, which is surrounded by an angular cowl. The fuel tank is a simple, curvy unit, which seamlessly blends with the large centre panels and the stubby tail section. The fuel tank capacity stands at 10.5 litres and the bike weighs 113kg (kerb), which makes it easy to manage and manoeuvre in the parking and in traffic. The Shine is quite simple on the feature front with an analogue instrument cluster, halogen lighting all around, and a silent starter.

While both have digital displays, all-LED lights, and inverted forks, the MT-15 offers a lot more features than the MT-03!
The Yamaha MT-15 is the naked streetfighter version of the Yamaha R15. The MT-15 is designed for everyday riders who want a sporty and powerful motorcycle that, unlike the R15, focuses on everyday practicality over track performance.
